Boudoir Photography

BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY IS SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST SEXY PICTURES. IT'S ABOUT YOU - AS A WIFE, A MOM, A WOMAN. IT'S ABOUT SELF CONFIDENCE AND SELF WORTH. I WAS TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS THAT I LOVE SO MUCH ABOUT BOUDOIR, AND I REALIZED WHAT IT IS - IT'S TAKING THAT TIME AWAY FROM LOVING, HELPING, CARING FOR EVERYONE ELSE - AND IT'S TURNING INWARD TO LOVING YOU. YOUR SKIN, YOUR CURVES, YOURSELF! NOTHING MAKES ME HAPPIER THAN WATCHING MY CLIENTS WALK AWAY FROM THEIR SESSIONS 100% MORE CONFIDENT THAN WHEN THEY CAME IN!

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! LET'S CELEBRATE IT!

WHY Boudoir?

There are so many reasons WHY people have boudoir photos done! Maybe a wedding gift for lucky groom to be!Maybe there has been a success in a fitness goal that you want to celebrate. Maybe you just want to celebrate where you are at as a new mom, or maybe you want to celebrate your baby bump as a mom to be! There is no right or wrong reason to do a boudoir session. It's just about celebrating your body and learning to love the skin you are in.

WHAT to expect...

It's normal to be nervous! But let me tell you how much fun boudoir sessions are! Before your session we discuss your wardrobe and vibe  you are wanting from your images, we talk about any concerns you may have and we get to know each other just a little bit. During hair and make up we chat and build a relationship while you become a beauty queen, and then during the shoot we have fun! I always have music on loud and exciting so we can sing dance and just let loose. I tell you EXACTLY where to sit or stand or pose so that you look amazing and don't feel lost. I always show you a back of camera shot so you can see what I am seeing as I photograph you. By the end of the session it just feels like a girls night more than a photo shoot!

a little bit about why I photograph boudoir

I am Joanne. I am a wife, a mom, a singer, a photographer, an animal lover, and outdoors enthusiast

I am also someone who has struggled with body image my entire life.

The older I get the more I realize that the women in my life never loved their bodies - they were always dieting, and complaining about how they wish they looked. Because of this I was never fully happy with how I looked - Being called anorexic and "too skinny" didn't help either.  When I had my daughter I told myself that I would change this - that I would accept compliments when they were given to me instead of making excuses. That I wouldn't complain to her about my hips, thighs, and tummy. Instead I would show her how to love the body that she was given and to embrace the curves, or lack of curves and grow to be a confident woman!

I know that boudoir is such an empowering experience - and I know how to show you that you are beautiful! So lets do this together!
